The Innovations of Tomorrow, at INDUSTRIE

From the 7th to the 10th of April 2015, INDUSTRIE LYON will gather all the end-sectors and the professionals of the Industry at LYON EUREXPO for 4 days of business!

The only meeting place for all the equipment suppliers, products, consumables and services, INDUSTRIE gives center stage to the technological advances of the sector, featuring many new equipments brought by our exhibitors, as well as research demonstrations.

This is THE trade fair of choice to source information, innovate, take your business a step further and to discover the latest technologies.

During each edition of the fair, the LABO INDUSTRIE showcases the future projects of the industrial world and offers a preview of the systems, techniques and know-how that will have an influence on tomorrow’s industrial landscape.

The Labo INDUSTRIE INDUSTRIE displays a selection of works and R&D services used in the production technologies and industry processes, technical centers, business poles, public or private laboratories, all of which will be on set at INDUSTRIE. They will give you an overview of the state of the art in the selected themes, as well as an occasion to prepare for the changing demands of the industry. At the fair, you will also discover many animations on processes that may affect your future activities.

For the 2015 edition of Labo INDUSTRIE, we chose, in collaboration with Symop and Cetim, to illustrate three aspects of the factory of the future: intelligent machines, cobotics, and additive manufacturing. Nearly a dozen demonstrations will be held through partnerships with Ardi, CEA Tech, and Cirtes.

These technological bricks are a preview of the functions that will equip the production tools of tomorrow. Speaking of intelligent machines, we will showcase autonomous systems that can self-program, 3D applications for machine tools, machines that can localize objects in their spatial environment or harvest piezoelectricity, energy management, and wireless transmission for communicating autonomous sensors.

As regards cobotics, you will get to experience real-time remote control of the movements of a humanoid robot based off of the movements, including facial movements, of a person, and also discover Cobomanip, a 100% French next-generation collaborative robot. It is able to handle loads of about 80 kg. Its self-balanced base (reproducing zero gravity), its memory capacity, and the virtual environment management can prolong and increase operator skills.

Finally, additive manufacturing will be present as well, via MIM (Metal Injection Molding) and stratoconception. MIM involves molding plastics by the injection of metal powders. It offers the advantage of being able to create complex shapes with precise tolerances and surface finish. Stratoconception enables the manufacture, layer by layer, of an object designed in CAO, without severing the digital chain.

Visit Labo INDUSTRIE and watch the demonstrations. You can also sign up for the INDUSTRIE newsletter to not miss any of the exhibition's news.
